What began in 1980 as repairing arrows for close friends at the end of a hunting season, developed into Phantom Archery just 5 years later. Owner and operator, Tim Nutter, started competitive shooting in 1981 and realized there was a need for more high end archery equipment. With the help of Ernos, a local wholesaler, he started purchasing the tools needed and set up shop in a corner of his basement. The customer base grew as the years passed. In 1985 Phantom Archery became a licensed Federal Firearm dealer and continues to this day, to provide high quality service to the mid-Michigan community.
Tim is also an active member of organizations such as The National Shooting Sports Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, as well as the National Rifle Association. We recognize the importance of supporting organizations that are focused on preserving not only our natural resources, but our hunting privileges as well. He has also been involved with the Bay City Bowmen Club for the last 25 years, shooting competitively and working with the JoAd program to help keep our younger generation interested in the archery sports. In January of 2011, Tim was awarded the Bay City Bowmen Lifetime Membership award.
What sets Phantom Archery apart from other businesses is the commitment to the customer. We are here to answer all of your questions and assist you with any issues that you may encounter, before and long after the sale. Whether you're setting up your first bow or fine tuning your sights for deer season, we've got the tools and expertise needed to get the job done right.
Thank you to all the customers and shooting companions over the last 30 years.
